perfect day

****all thru life we dont realize the perfect days we experience in our life..how many do we remember?simply coz our definition of perfect is really twisted.its all about having one perfect moment and savouring it for as long as u can and that makes a day perfect.****

A silent thought, a feel it brought.
Looked real, felt surreal.
I tried to reason, without explanation.
It’s very simple, yet ample.
Look no beyond today, it’s the perfect day.

The light is bright, sit back tight.
You’re not in a maze, so clear the haze.
Is the chaos inside you or about you?
Smile under the sky until a tear rolls down your eye.
Look no beyond today, it’s the perfect day.

Live it on as you can, without a plan.
Keep laughing, it’s more than living.
There’s enough to give and more to receive.
Feel the burden or just walk by the garden.
Look no beyond today, it’s the perfect day.

It’s a race you run to win, but just learn to swim.
Let’s run in pain and gain and the merry rain,
Tiptoe through the misty eyes and the silent cries.
You may not fly, so learn to erase the lie.
Look no beyond today, it’s the perfect day.

Every answer can start another question.
It’s all about being able to just simply listen.
Time will unfold the solution, there’s no other notion.
Dream through your eyes, they see more than the lies.
Look no beyond today, it’s the perfect day.

In the midst of all this pessimism, your take on that one moment is like a breath of fresh air in a crowded 'bus' full up on stench and despair.

Liked the intro, the piece is simple enough to relate to and deep enough to reflect upon.

I thought some parts were a lil contradicting.. The last line fitted-in in a very satire way for some of the paragraphs.. but I related to the feel of it, be it optimism, contentment, contradicting thoughts etc..

hmm shruts i beg to differ..i thought the last line always follows a positive sentence..more like every para describes a circle, and the going's not good at every point of life right?(btw i hate breaking it up like this!!!) but its all about lookin at whts there, wht we want and eventually realisin tht its all enought..wht we have.

I would also like to add that savouring that one special 'perfect' moment amidst all the drudgery surrounding it (read: rest of the day) is quite a super-human task, and i'm not too sure how practically possible that is.. 'cept on some very rare and special occasions. :P

(NO, I'm not trying to be diplomatic here)

super human...?wooow..i din expect that to come outta u..what..prasad bit u? think about it..the best days in ur life are often becoz of tht one moment in a day tht just goes perfect n reflects upon the rest of the day..

I agree, but as is more often the case with me recently.. well, the despair of the rest of the day always overshadows the positive feel...

My point being, I think i'm just getting old, grumpy and senile; a sour whiny puss perhaps? hmmm :) But yea, this thing bout the perfect moment is very very ..very true :P
