This is my lil tribute to "like a rolling Stone"..since i love this song and feel a very strong connection to it, i decided to pay my small tribute by writing a lil something to appreciate the song and the closeness that i feel for it..here goes..
Once you rode a storm and then went along.
You kept swayin’ until the shore was there; no long.
The search for a life of swing was far and beyon’,
But you had to get there to keep the journey goin’ on.
A loner you’re not, but you walk alone, lika journey man in a song.
Let’s just hope all this doesn’t take too long.
By the pond you sit, waiting for the circle to become round.
Be it a dark cloud or just the nights, by none were you bound.
A quick leap, a quicker dash and back on the run,
Its time to dwell on the streets, where began all the fun.
Along the roads of leaves and twigs, you trip a small fall,
It was time to wake up from the dream to see it all.
Met the fancy yesterday, today they don’t have much time.
You had bought it all once, but now is all about a dime.
As you live to stay alive, a day has sped by in an hour.
We laughed as the lake became a mere drop, don be sour.
Now you have fled away to the land of the unknown.
All you carry is a bag of thought and nothing much known.
The rhapsody of a smile is your find and only gain.
Keep it up for that’s the way you shoot the pain in this rain.

well written and all but I'd rather have you associate yourself to songs like Right Said fred's "I'm too sexy". Its more entertaining for us that way.. :P
and doesn't "like a rolling stone" sound like dylan just wanted to insult some woman real badly..
no it's not shruts... its a way of life ... or so i think... anyway, my point here is i see u have decided to give a small brief on your piece which i think is real cool coz it allows the reader to form their own perception as well as know where the author is coming from... well done...
ya shruthi..right said fred will also come soon.. :)..and dylan insulting a woman? where'd u get tht from?
hey I agree with mudi about the giving a brief, that really helps..
and listen to the song, its almost analogous to "woman, you thought you were too good, but look at you now. ha ha"..
so according to u..if he sang "man, you thought you were too good, but look at you now. ha ha".. then he's insulting a man????
shruts, sweetheart... life is a mixture of pain and joy... He musta been hurt by a woman at some point in life hence the line... you never know..
suheim - just an observation I made.. don't understand what it has to do with it being a man or a woman!!
mudi - yea, I guessed as much but it is an angry song yea? like I said, just an observation..
Officially, it is a song bout a debutante who becomes a loner when she falls out of high society that she's been hanging out with.... I personally, have my own views to it coz inadvertantly you will percieve it the way it makes sense in your life... so i suppose thats that..
P.S. i read this again.. and again.. and then i cursed my darned luck to be associated with a talented fart as yourself..
P.S. where's the rest of our troupe...?? or is it just us 3..!!!
